S T R E T C H
Galleri Bokboden, Bergen, Norway (November 2017).
S T R E T C H was a group exhibition I participated in with Heather Bonnie Reid and Olivia Turner at Galleri Bokboden –an exhibition space run by students of the former Bergen Academy of Art and Design (KHiB). Between 2014 and 2016, myself, Reid and Turner undertook consecutive study exchanges at KHiB from Newcastle University. In the wake of KHiB's absorption into the University of Bergen, the exhibition explored our parallel memories and experiences as a way of forming bridges between two rapidly changing cities. Reid and I spent several days occupying Bokboden as our open studio, communicating with Turner back in Newcastle; experimenting with open, collaborative and long-distance approaches to making.
